Observation monitoring is performed for all the observation in the COMET-LETKF domain. Observation increments are derived with respect to the deterministic background. The monitoring include computation of bias, standard deviation and rmse of these deviances. Monthly (or longer period) statistics of observation increments are produced for single station identifier or class of observations (aircraft, surface, radiosoundings etc) averaged over the whole domain.
